The Diamond Bar Brahmas continued their winning ways as they secured a 62-49 victory over the Alta Loma Braves. This win marked their third consecutive triumph, building on their previous successes against San Dimas and cementing their position as a formidable force on the hardwood.

From the start of the game, the Brahmas showcased their dominance on the court. They set the pace early on, taking the lead 16-10 in the first quarter. As the game progressed, their lead grew exponentially, reaching an impressive 33-19 by halftime.

Freshman point guard, Tyler West, played a pivotal role in the Brahmas’ success. During the first half, West showcased his skills and contributed nine crucial points to the team. Ultimately, he emerged as the leading scorer for Diamond Bar, accumulating an impressive total of 16 points throughout the game.

However, West was not alone in propelling the Brahmas to victory. Center Max Gao displayed remarkable prowess, amassing nine points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots. This outstanding performance exemplified Gao’s impact on both ends of the court, solidifying his status as a key asset for the team.

Diamond Bar’s success was further underscored by their proficiency from beyond the arc. The Brahmas displayed impressive long-range shooting ability, sinking a total of seven three-pointers. Ethan Alphonso, Tyler West, Reed Blevins, Max Gao, and Maze Lawrence all made significant contributions from downtown, adding valuable scoring points to the team’s tally.

Moreover, the Brahmas capitalized on their opportunities from the free-throw line. They converted 15 of 21 attempts, effectively adding additional points and further widening the gap between themselves and the Alta Loma Braves.

Defensively, the Brahmas showcased tenacity and resilience, spearheaded by Jack Lin. Lin’s impressive defensive performance included taking two charges and securing six rebounds, exemplifying his commitment to the team’s success.

Alta Loma entered the game with a strong defensive record, averaging only 45 points allowed per game. However, the Brahmas’ offensive prowess proved unyielding as Diamond Bar managed to amass an impressive 62 points against the Braves’ defense, far surpassing their opponents’ average scoring output.

With this victory, the Diamond Bar Brahmas now have an overall record of 6-5, providing further validation of their progress throughout the season. Their next challenge awaits as they prepare to face off against the Rowland Raiders on Thursday, December 14th at Rowland High School, with tipoff scheduled for 6:30 pm.
