Game Recap: Ayala Bulldogs vs. Diamond Bar Brahmas
In a highly anticipated Palomares League boys’ soccer match, the Ayala Bulldogs traveled to Diamond Bar High School to take on the Brahmas in a make-up game. The original match had been postponed due to poor air quality caused by recent wildfires in Southern California.
The game proved to be a defensive showcase, with the Diamond Bar Brahmas holding the undefeated Bulldogs scoreless for nearly the entire duration of the match. The Brahmas displayed impressive resilience and disciplined defensive play.
As the game neared its conclusion, it seemed destined to end in a draw. However, with less than two minutes remaining, Ayala’s Ryan Kilde delivered a clutch moment, scoring the game’s only goal off an assist from Julian Chavez. The dramatic late-game strike secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory for the Bulldogs.
With the win, Ayala improves to an impressive 6-0-1 in league play, solidifying their position as league leaders. Meanwhile, Diamond Bar’s record falls to 2-4-1 in league competition. The two teams will face off again in a rematch on Tuesday, January 28th, at 5:30 PM at Ayala High School.
