The Diamond Bar Brahmas opened the 2025 high school football season at home on Saturday night, but the visiting El Dorado Golden Hawks came away with a commanding 30-0 victory in a non-league matchup. The season opener took place on Saturday at Diamond Bar High School in front of an energetic home crowd.

First Quarter: El Dorado Strikes Early

The Golden Hawks wasted little time setting the tone. On the game’s opening drive, quarterback play and precision passing moved the offense downfield before Justin Karg hauled in a 23-yard touchdown pass with 10:12 left in the first quarter. The point-after attempt was no good, but El Dorado led 6-0.

On Diamond Bar’s first possession, the Brahmas started near midfield and looked poised to answer. However, on 2nd-and-2 from their own 44-yard line, quarterback Daniel Ribeiro had his pass intercepted at the 47. The Golden Hawks returned it all the way for a defensive touchdown, extending the lead to 13-0 with 9:18 still left in the first quarter.

Halftime: Golden Hawks Take Control

El Dorado’s defense continued to clamp down on the Brahmas’ offense, while their own offense steadily added points. By halftime, the Golden Hawks built a 23-0 advantage, leaving Diamond Bar searching for momentum.

Second Half: El Dorado Secures the Win

In the third quarter, El Dorado struck again with another offensive score, pushing their lead to 30-0 by the end of the quarter. The Golden Hawks closed the game strong, securing a 30-0 win to open the season at 1-0.

For Diamond Bar, the opener was a tough result, but the young team showed effort and determination throughout the night. The Brahmas begin the season 0-1 and will look to bounce back in Week 1.
