The Ayala Bulldogs continued their undefeated start to the season, powering past the San Bernardino Cardinals, 78–58, in their opening game of the San Dimas Gary Prestesater Classic on Tuesday night. Ayala improves to 7–0 overall, while San Bernardino drops to 1–3.

Ayala set the tone early, jumping out to a 20–14 lead after the first quarter and never trailing at any point in the game. Senior Brenden White sparked the Bulldogs with eight points from the field plus a free throw, leading all scorers in the opening period. San Bernardino had opportunities to stay close but struggled at the free-throw line, converting just one of their six attempts in the quarter.

The Bulldogs widened the gap in the second quarter behind junior Braylen Pagan, who tallied seven points, including a three-pointer. Ayala outscored the Cardinals 24–14 in the frame, taking a comfortable 44–28 advantage into halftime.

Ayala maintained control throughout the second half, relying on balanced scoring and steady defensive pressure. White finished as the game’s top scorer with 17 points, while Pagan added 13. Senior Joshua Townsell also reached double figures with 10 points, helping the Bulldogs close out the win.

San Bernardino was led by sophomore Kaylove Jones, who scored 13 points, while senior Mason Vihauer added 12, giving the Cardinals two double-digit scorers of their own.

With the victory, Ayala advances to face the Chino Hills Huskies, who defeated host school San Dimas 79–35, improving to 9–1. The Bulldogs and Huskies will meet on Wednesday, December 3, at 8:00 p.m. at San Dimas High School in what is expected to be one of the marquee matchups of the tournament.
