In a high-energy, back-and-forth matchup, the Crean Lutheran Saints broke into the win column with a 16–12 triumph over the Diamond Bar Brahmas. The Saints controlled the early tempo, built a sizeable first-half advantage, and held off a determined Brahmas rally in the final minutes.

First Quarter

Crean Lutheran wasted no time asserting itself. Early strikes from Lily Parkan and McKenna Hem sparked the offense, and although Emma Wu put Diamond Bar on the board with 5:52 remaining, the Saints responded with four unanswered goals. Their aggressive transition play and efficient finishing propelled them to a commanding 5–1 lead after one.

Second Quarter

Diamond Bar showed signs of life behind goals from Bianca Moran and Wu, cutting into the deficit. But the Saints’ offense surged again in the closing minutes of the half. Catherine Ertel scored twice, Kylie Caston added a strong finish inside, and Hem tallied her second of the night. The late scoring run sent Crean Lutheran into the break with a comfortable 10–3 halftime advantage.

Third Quarter

The Brahmas clawed back into the contest coming out of halftime. Moran added two more goals, while Savanna Sanders and Sophia Ruiz capitalized on defensive lapses to trim the margin. Despite Diamond Bar’s best quarter of the game, Crean Lutheran remained steady. Timely stops and another burst of scoring kept the Saints in control, leading 13–7 heading into the fourth.

Fourth Quarter

Diamond Bar continued to battle, with Moran and Wu padding their goal totals and keeping pressure on the Saints’ defense. The Brahmas closed the gap to four, but Crean Lutheran converted key late possessions and showed poise down the stretch to secure the 16–12 win, its first of the season.
