After playing five consecutive away games, the Ayala Bulldogs were glad to finally play in front of the home crowd. The night was a special one as it was also the homecoming game for the Bulldogs.

If that wasn’t enough for Ayala, they were also defending their undefeated record as the Bulldogs came into the game with an overall record of 7-0 and 2-0 in league play.

The Colony Titans were looking to play spoilers, but it would be a difficult task even before the game started because it was reported that Colony’s starting junior quarterback Trillian Harris transferred earlier in the week. That left sophomore AJ Jones to take the quarterback position.

The Titans finished the game with a total of 187-yards on offense with 141-yards coming from the run game and 46-yards passing.

Ayala (8-0 overall, 3-0 league)  scored a touchdown in every quarter as they went on to win the game over Colony (2-6 overall, 1-2 league) 28-0 and keep their undefeated record going.

Bulldogs head football coach AJ Gracia was pleased with the performance of his team. Gracia also said that he also felt his team may have been too hyped up since it was their first home game in over a month and homecoming.

Ayala’s defense held Colony scoreless throughout the game. While the offense ran the ball heavily.

The Bulldogs had 376 total yards on offense with 277-yards rushing and 99-yards passing.

The only passing play to score a touchdown for Ayala came in the first quarter as quarterback Cole McCain threw a 10-yard pass to Gilbert Duran. This gave the Bulldogs the lead over Colony 7-0.

After that, the Bulldogs scored touchdowns utilizing the run game.

It was the Bulldogs McCain in the second quarter to score on the one yard keeper to take the 14-0 lead at halftime.

Then, in the third quarter it was the Bulldogs Matthew Munoz with the 33-yard run to score the touchdown and increase the lead 21-0.

The Bulldogs final touchdown in the game came in the fourth quarter as junior cornerback Jaden Sailor scored on a 35-yard run play to seal the game with the final score over Colony 28-0.
