Trailing at halftime 32-29, the Etiwanda Eagles came back into the second half to take the lead at the end of the third quarter 47-41.

Leading the way for Etiwanda was junior power forward Daisia Mitchell who was the game’s overall leading scorer with 24 points.

Late in the fourth quarter Centennial cut the deficit to three points, 59-56, after the Huskies guard Madison Green sank a basket with 1:30 left on the game clock.

The scoring threat from Centennial cooled off as the the Huskies junior point guard Jayda Curry made a three point basket with just 18 seconds remaining in the game.

Curry led Centennial in scoring with 21 points in the game.

Time would expire and the Eagles went on to win the game 65-59. Etiwanda will move on to the next round and play La Jolla Country Day.
