The Chino Hills Huskies capped off a dominant tournament run with a convincing 72–47 victory over the Alta Loma Braves in the Green Division Championship game on Day 4 of The Classic At Damien, completing a 4–0, undefeated run through the tournament and earning their second consecutive Classic At Damien championship.

After winning the Copper Division title in 2024, Chino Hills continued its upward trajectory by claiming the Green Division crown, showcasing balance, depth, and defensive consistency throughout the four-day event.

Senior guard Joaquin Tovera led all scorers with a game-high 31 points, pacing the Huskies from start to finish. Tovera logged 30 minutes, shooting 12-for-22 from the field, 2-for-7 from three-point range, and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line.

Chino Hills jumped out early, building a 19–6 lead at the end of the first quarter, fueled by Tovera along with contributions from Akello Rasshan and Nate Jarrett. Rasshan finished with 14 points, while Jarrett added 13 points, three steals, and three assists.

Alta Loma showed resilience in the second quarter, putting together its strongest stretch of the game with an 8–0 run. The Braves shot 60 percent from the field in the quarter, but still trailed 31–21 at halftime.

The Huskies extended their lead to 51–31 after three quarters and sealed the championship in the fourth, shooting 64 percent (9-for-14) from the field and closing the game with a decisive 12-point run.

With the win, Chino Hills improved to 19–4 overall and will open Baseline League play at home on Tuesday, January 6, hosting the Upland Highlander Scots at 6:30 p.m.

Alta Loma fell to 13–4 overall and will open Hacienda League action on the road against the Colony Titans.
